Club Closure Extended

With the recent increases in Covid-19 cases in AB, the provincial government has extended restrictions to group sports such as curling. Based on these new restrictions, the Board of Directors at the North Hill Curling Club has decided to close the club until at least 11 January 2021. This means that the earliest the league will be back curling is 16 January 2021.

We will look at how we modify our league schedule in the new year once we understand ice availability.

We would like to wish everyone a HEALTHY Christmas Season and look forward to seeing everyone in 2021. Here’s to a much much MUCH better 2021 for all!!

Curling Suspended in Calgary due to Covid-19

We are sorry to report that AHS has suspended indoor team sports in Calgary (and other parts of Alberta) from 13-27 November 2020. While we would love to be out playing the game we love, we 100% support the recommendations of AHS as we see the escalation of Covid-19 cases. Stay safe and stay home if you can!

New Season Starting with a Covid19 Policy

Here we go another season

Season:  17 October to 6 March

Curling Nights:  15

Cost:  $800 per team (NO increase from last year)

Format: “Modified Mixed”

The NHCC COVID-19 Protocols are in effect

What does this mean?

The club is also requiring ALL CURLERS AND SPARES to sign a “Declaration of Compliance” and “Waiver” prior to your first game.

The Declaration of Compliance talks about your health at the time signing the document but also has requirements to preclude yourself from the club and reporting to organizers if your health condition changes.

If you are bringing in a spare NOT on the spare list, it will be YOUR responsibility to have the two forms completed and provided to me prior to the game.
